The Problem: Complexity, Confusion, and Missed Opportunities

Before this app, SUPERGAS teams faced a big challenge. They needed to show clients where LPG installations would fit on their site. This had to be clear, safe, and convincing.

In other words, how can we show clients exactly where and how LPG installations will fit on their site – clearly, safely, and convincingly?

Here’s what wasn’t working:

    • Firstly, explaining site suitability to clients was confusing.
    • Secondly, manual measurements led to errors and rework.
    • Moreover, there was no real-time way to highlight if installations were unsafe or deviated.
    • As a result, it was difficult to earn quick client approvals due to lack of visual clarity.

Imagine carrying heavy paperwork, blueprints, and models to a client meeting. Yet, you still cannot convince them. It is frustrating.

Our Approach: Merging AR with Practical Utility

When SUPERGAS partnered with us at Dotsquares Inventive Studio, they wanted more than an app,  they wanted a solution that would simplify life for their engineers and instil trust among clients.

Therefore, we began by asking:

    • What if they could place their LPG installation models directly onto the client’s site using their phone or tablet?
    • Imagine if deviations, measurements, and safety compliance were visualized instantly in AR.
    • Ultimately, could the entire assessment process become interactive, fast, and error-free?

The Solution: An AR-Powered Site Fit App

Here’s what we built:

Firstly, AR Model Visualisation: Engineers can place 3D models of manifolds, sheds, and platforms directly on-site using their phone camera, just like placing furniture in your living room with AR shopping apps.

Secondly, Drag, Shift & Rotate Models: Adjust placements easily to fit within the real estate area and plan installations accurately.

Thirdly, Deviation Highlighting: Any deviation from recommended placement turns red instantly, so there’s no ambiguity about what’s safe and what’s not.

Additionally, Volume Calculation: Calculates and displays the exact volume of deviation to aid quick decisions.

Moreover, Reports & Historical Records: Generates detailed reports for each assessment, storing them for future reference or audits.

Importantly, Secure Login with Active Directory: Ensures only authorised team members can access and modify data.

Finally, Offline Mode: Engineers can use the app in remote locations without worrying about connectivity.

Why Does This Matter?
